One advantage of traditional classroom learning would be that the student is around other students there age that are learning the same thing as them. A disadvantage could be that the student isn't able to work at there own pace. This might be stressful for the students. For example a student who can not keep up with his or her peers may feel overwhelmed because they cant keep up.

An advantage of online schooling could be that the student could work at there own pace. They can also work ahead if they need to. Many online curriculum's also work well for student athletes. They have an opportunity to concentrate on there sport as well as school. It also is good because the student is able to take extra classes in areas that interest them such as art or music. A disadvantage to this could be that the student has to be responsible to make sure that they are getting there work done since they are not in a classroom setting. Another disadvantage could be that they might not be able to get the help that they might need.

In the setting of a physical classroom, chidren and young adults are much more engaged then they are when looking at a screen. If taught well, there are much less distractions at school then then at home. Children, as well as anyone else, need social engagement. Without it, the are more likely to fell less comforted, which can lead to forms of anxiety, depression, etc. Though there are distractions both at home and at school, hildren are not given the option to trun off their screens and not interact. When in a classrom, they are listening and paying attention, depending on how well the teacher is doing their job.
