“Finally,” I said to myself. I was alone in the house and queen of 163 Willowbend Lane. The microwave clock read 9:00 p. m. “Perfect! Movie time.” I dashed to the kitchen table where the Movie-Town bag lay on its side. I turned off the lights, popped in Hangman Twelve, and sat down on the couch in the television room. Last week I had watched The Ghost of Sycamore Manor. Wrapping myself in a soft red wool blanket, I hunkered down into the soft brown leather couch. My breath started to quicken as the movie started, dark images flickering across the screen. They seemed almost to dance in an exaggerated way on the walls of the darkened room.
