Love and lack of love for these characters are the main reason why their life experiences took place.

Explanation: The presence or absence of love in a person's life dictates the way they react to events and the decisions they make. Robert Walton has a brave spirit, wanting to explore places. However, he is more conscious than Victor, perhaps due to the presence of love in his life. On the other hand, Victor Frankenstein's ambition for science and his created monster, lead the reader to think that he had a lack of love in his childhood, feeling then alone and with an obsessive desire to create life, but sadly ended up in tragedy.
