delivered fiery speeches about freeing workers from the
shackles of the bosses.
The women of the league were wealthy women who
had little-to-no experience working in a garment
factory.
The support of wealthy league women contributed to
the successful outcome of the female garment
workers' strike,
Women who worked in garment factories were often
married, so it was not critical that they receive equal
pay.
Women who did not need to work were not interested
in or aware of the difficulties faced by garment factory
