Odysseus went to war for ten years in Athens, He then had to sail back home from said war after he had won. It took Odysseus another ten years to get back home, through his twenty years away his wife was loyal to him and was waiting for him to return. if you look at a byron poem (the isles of greece is a good one) - byron looks at nature mainly for what it already means to man. wordsworth will look at a landscape and see the mountains, trees, valleys, and rivers as almost spiritual presences - wordsworth wants to get to know nature.
