    The importance of the medical field has always been of significant interest to me. Neurology, gastroenterology, cardiology, etc. is essential to the prosperity of mankind. Unfortunately, it is underappreciated to some extent, and the knowledge of these fields is miniscule.

    Digestion has always been essential to the human body, as failure to do so would result in our death. Gastroenterology is essentially a medical field dedicated to focusing on the health and well-being of the digestive system and the disorders that occur within it. This field is greatly hidden, as it is unknown to majority of people across the world. Your body seemingly processes waste and materials without concern, as you cannot see the complicated process that the human body undergoes when transporting waste out of the body. This field of study makes a great impact on us, and their research has provided us with safer lives on a daily basis.

    Unfortunately, the human body cannot function without the use of the heart. While this medical field is more more widely known of, their actual field of study is not entirely clear. Cardiology focuses on the heart, as well as blood vessels, and the entire cardiovascular system.
