                                                                         Journey of Becoming a God

While Odysseus was lost in the isle of everlasting youth dedicated as a temple to Aphrodite the goddess of love it was a gorgeous and divine sight for any mere mortal to have experienced in their lifetime it is said that it takes bravery and faithfulness to enter this isle which Odysseus has proven throughout his journey there. Odysseus went there for a particular reason because he’s been worried about aging since he wouldn’t be around longer due to his rare disease called the “GERAS effect” it’s named after the god of old age himself. When Odysseus was searching for new lands he came across an old man  which asked him “ My dear son would you please help me carry my fresh sparkling water in the pot over to my little home” Odysseus replied “ Of course I will help you carry your water to your home!” Little did Odysseus knew that he was disguised as Geras the God of Aging he hated Odysseus because he doesn’t like seeing youthful people on his island so he traps their youth and make them older so he traps Odysseus but he manages to escape the island by the help of none other but the goddess of everlasting beauty that even makes the earth in a trance by her appearance Aphrodite she helps him by blowing his ship towards the bay of the Aegean sea even the seas calmed down by the mist of the hill, soft and curling in the day of the sun of Aphrodite’s hair her island where he would drink from the everlasting water of youth to uplift this tragic curse cast upon him.
