In the poem the Author talks about how you would love the weather at first because everything is covered in nice beautiful snow, but as time passes that snow becomes a obstacle for many things. It later states in the final stanza that when Winter ends and Spring begins the North is covered in gold smiles meaning it would be more beautiful and enjoyable in the Spring.
