By communicating with diverse people we can gain more knowledge about their lives and background, gaining information about realities that we didn't live through ourselves. We can also learn to have more empathy towards people from various cultural contexts.

Communicating is essential for sharing ideas, thoughts, and getting various works done. It is essential to have good communication in the workplace to do the job well and effectively. Communication helps people learn from others, gain new experiences, do teamwork, and share knowledge to better themselves.

When people from diverse backgrounds communicate, they can learn a lot from each other about things they don't know themselves. We are all products of our backgrounds, culture, age, place we grew up and where we live, our education, etc. A person cannot have all the experiences of the world. But by communicating with people from backgrounds different than ours, we can learn about their thoughts, experiences, troubles, and benefits, and can become more knowledgeable about that certain area.

We can also become more empathic in this way, as we realize how similar diverse people are to us, but also, how different contexts make us all have different lives and emotions. By having good, understanding communication with someone who has a distinct understanding of the world we can gain that wisdom and apply it later in our own life and reality.

For example, we one person grew up in the middle class in the west, they might have an idea everyone has the same accessibility to the news, social benefits, and information. By communicating with someone who grew in a poor totalitarian regime they can understand how some people can see the world differently as they have not been able to gain access to the knowledge and skills other people have – their resources were limited and their status and location were an obstacle. That person can gain information about the world from communication with others, while the first person can gain experience of not living with benefits and privileges by communicating with the latter person
