Read the paragraph.
During the week, Nala keeps her room neat and tidy. She makes her bed, puts her clothes away, and straightens things up as part of her daily routine. On weekends though, it is a different story. By Sunday evening, her room is a disaster zone. Her softball uniform, gym bag, and dance shoes may be strewn across the floor because she rushes from one activity to the next. Sleeping bags from slumber parties, art supplies, and books may be found draped across furniture and clumped in corners. Sometimes, it is hard to even enter the room! Nala and her parents came to an agreement about keeping her room clean. As long as she has her room back in perfect order by bedtime on Sundays, she could take Saturdays off.
What is the meaning of the metaphor in the paragraph?
A. Nala enjoys a variety of fun activities on the weekends.
B. Because weekends are so busy, Nala spends little time in her room.
C. On weekends, Nala makes an astounding mess of her room.
D. Nala and her parents believe that weekends should be spent relaxing.
