My opinion is that Nenita is a bad friend.

She leaves, sad, and find out that when she gets there a terrible economic crisis has been struck, and the whole point of her leaving is useless. And then when she gets back home, already heartbroken about her lost job, she finds that her 1 best friend has betrayed her and married her 1 true love. Her friend and her BF were probably the only things she was looking forward to seeing, besides family, but they betrayed her and Nenita cheated behind Mila's back. Nenita probably knew that, but still married Lando.
