Use the following excerpt from Homer's The Odyssey to answer this question. "The hero paused, and ponder'd this request, while love and duty warr'd within his breast. At length resolved, he turn'd his ready hand"
In this passage the hero (Odysseus) is faced with one of the most basic dilemmas of the human condition. What are the two human emotions that have "war'd within his breast?"
