Oh Mistress Mine
by William Shakespeare
Oh mistress minel where are you roaming?
Ohl stay and hear; your true love's coming
That can sing both high and low.
Trip no further, pretty sweeting:
Journeys end in lovers meeting
Every wise man's son doth know.
What is love? 'tis not hereafter;
Present mirth hath present su
present laughter;
What's to come is still unsure:
in delay there lies no plenty:
Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty,
Youth's a stuff will not endure.
What does the author mean by "Youth's a stuff will not endure"?
O 1. that youth cannot endure life without love
O 2. that the years of one's youth won't last long
O 3. that young love won't survive if one lover is "roaming."
O4 that the needs of the young cannot be denied
