Education does not prepare students for the real world, because many lessons are not applicable to the real world, proper lessons about mortgages aren’t taught, and students only compete for a letter grade.

Lessons in subjects such as math are unlikely to come in handy in the real world. However we still spend a lot of time learning about subjects like the theorems related to a triangle.

Often times lessons about mortgaging, sex education, and getting and performing well in jobs is barely, or isn’t at all, taught.

Students in school only do work to get a good grade. By the next year a student will have forgotten most of what they had learned due to the stress of getting an A.

There are many roles that differ for american exchange students. these include assimilating to the culture of the country that one is in, being able to learn the language and communicate with others, as well as being able to understand what is happening in the courses that are taken.
