How people can learn to be kinder to one another

People can learn from our past selves, we can look back on the history of humankind, look at the racism, hatred, un-needed wars and countries  talking behind each others backs. By looking at these past mistakes we should be able to grow and learn, we can learn to be kinder, work together,  love and appreciate each other more. For us to learn we must look back and reflect, looking at our imperfections and be open to new ideas.
