rules. Do you think your parents are too strict? Why or why not? Why do they set these rules?

At times it does feel like my parents have too many rules that rob me of my freedom like what time to go to bed, how much time I can spend on my electronics, and when to do my chores but then I remember why they have these rules in place. Because they love and care about me. They make these rules as a way to protect me and help me develop skills that will help me in the future. One time I asked if I could go spend the day at my best friend's house cause it had been forever since we'd seen each other because of the pandemic. Unfortunately they said no. Then a couple days later, the news showed that our area is having a surge of coronavirus cases. I was thankful my parents told me no because I didn't want to put myself, my friend, or any of our family members at risk to this virus.
