Can anyone paraphrase these two sentences: - Douglass’ book was published before slavery was ended. If he’d given all the details of his escape, he would have given away important information about the Underground Railroad and put people in danger.

- After setting as a free man with his wife Anna in New Bedford in 1838, Douglass was eventually asked to tell his story as at abolitionist meetings, and became a regular anti-slavery lecturer.
