I need a poem about freedom and it needs to have one simile and a metaphor

Since there are no other details and instructions, I wrote the poem in free verse.

Should we break this chain

And soar?

We are eagles

But were told we could not fly.

Should we kill the beast

or run?

We're like flowers

That were plucked by withered hands.

They tell us this is how things are

Should we believe them

Or break free?

The sky is our home

The mountain tops our bed

Should we fly, my friend?

Or let them pluck us to die?

That is what we have in "we're like flowers". In this case, we are being compared to flowers that were plucked, that had their freedom taken away and died.
