Since our school was founded, our mascot has always been the golden eagle. For decades, students have cheered "Go Eagles!" at school sporting events.
Everyone in the community knows what it means to have "Eagle pride." To change
that now by replacing our mascot would be to abandon more than a name. It would
be to abandon a tradition.
