Argument: Perseverance vs. Talent Imagine this scenario: Two students audition for roles in a summer theater. Both are rejected. One student, who has great acting talent, gives up and takes a sales job for the summer. He knows he will probably get the lead in the fall play at school. The other student, less talented, follows up his rejection with an email requesting an unpaid internship so that he can build his acting skills. He ends up volunteering for the season.
