Characterization Graphic Organizer Characterization is the process by which the author reveals the personality of the character. The author can do this
directly by giving specific details about the character, however, most of the information the reader receives is
indirectly given. The reader must think about what the character says and does. How does the character react to
certain situations and what does that say about them? How does the character treat others? In order to create a
