Please do my essay, I’m giving 100 points so only serious people answer to this I beg of you Assignment: In this assignment, you are to focus on a prominent theme in The Tempest and to
show how one of the main characters represents it. For example, if you focus on power, then you
may want to consider how Prospero's action and speech characterize power. To support the
characterization well, you will need to provide relevant evidence for it from different scenes in
the play, and to show how, if at all, the portrayal of power changes throughout the play. In other
words, do the ways Prospero depicts power in the first two acts of The Tempest differ from the
ways he depicts it at the end of the play? This is not to say that your interpretation of the
portrayal must include change, but if it is significant to your reading, then it should be discussed.
Your choice of themes and character and what you want to say about them and how you want to
support them are entirely up to you.
To write a successful essay, you will need to take the following steps:
1. Select a theme and a character that represents it. Some of the play's themes
discussed in class have included the following: power, control. freedom, family,
and colonialism. Whatever theme you choose, you must also choose a character
that portrays it, so you'll want to carefully think about an appropriate character.
2. Write a thesis statement. The thesis statement must identify the theme and the
character and must also assert a point/an opinion about the character's
representation of the theme.
3. Find relevant evidence throughout different parts of the play that show the
character's portrayal of the theme. You must use at least six relevant passages
from the play. These must be direct quotations.
4. Make an outline for your essay, showing how you will organize your essay and
support your thesis with sufficient, relevant evidence from the play.
5. Write a rough draft.
6. Participate in a peer revicw, giving and recciving constructive criticism on rough
drafts
7. Revise your draft using suggestions from peers.

Read the excerpt from the war of the worlds.beyond the pit stood the little wedge of people with the white flag at its apex, arrested by these phenomena, a little knot of small vertical black shapes upon the black ground. as the green smoke arose, their faces flashed out pallid green, and faded again as it vanished. then slowly the hissing passed into a humming, into a long, loud, droning noise. slowly a humped shape rose out of the pit, and the ghost of a beam of light seemed to flicker out from it.forthwith flashes of actual flame, a bright glare leaping from one to another, sprang from the scattered group of men. it was as if some invisible jet impinged upon them and flashed into white flame. it was as if each man were suddenly and momentarily turned to fire.then, by the light of their own destruction, i saw them staggering and falling, and their supporters turning to run.which options accurately describe how the author develops the plot in the excerpt? (select all that apply.)the war of the worldsthe narrator does not react at first as he watches the men with the flag and hears the sounds in the pit. his inaction decreases the tension in the plot because the narrator is simply standing by.the narrator does not react at first as he watches the men with the flag and hears the sounds in the pit. his inaction keeps the tension steadily increasing as the narrator comes to realize the men are being killed.the narrator is distracted by his own observations of the men with the white flag and the humming sound, so he doesn't react as quickly as he should when the men are killed, thus extending the tension in the plot.the narrator is attentive to the men with the white flag and the humming sound, so he immediately understands what has happened when the men are killed, increasing the tension in the plot.
