Battle cards is one of my favorite games, and it’s really easy to play. First, two players divided entire deck of cards so that each has 26 cards. Next, both players pull three cards off the tops of their decks, revealing the third card. The winner of the round is the player with the higher card. (Aces are high.) players continue counting three cards and then revealing the last card in to one player has all the cards in his or her deck and is declared the winner. It’s it’s that simple. Now, who wants to play? Which statement best describes how text structure contributes to the development of ideas in this passage?

A. The chronological structure allows the reader to create a mental picture of how the cards should be placed on the table.

B. The chronological structure helps the reader understand the steps involved in playing the game.

C. The cause-and-effect structure shows the reader what strategies a player should use in order to win the game.

D. The cause-and-effect structure gives the reader insight to which cards are the most valuable.
