Discussion Topic Since plays do not have narrative (like short stories or novels), does that put more importance on having memorable dialogue and “well-thought-out” stage directions?
Choose a novel and see if you can take a memorable scene (perhaps two pages) and write it in theatre form. What difficulties did you face? What does this tell you about writing for theater?
