My predictions are that the Narrator won't take their death for granted, he will take them in his heart and learn from this, he will learn how to overcome fear. The Narrator now knows that fear is something natural. He will also have paranoia by witnessing the death of his friend, Roderick. He also will learn how to deal with loss and know it is something we will all go through.

The Narrator will also learn not to take every moment for granted and to enjoy every moment that he has.
