The mouth here was used to liken an aggressive bite from a monster while the hell is where demons and monsters are said to come from.

The poem, The charge of the light brigade, narrates an interesting story of a brigade which had six hundred soldiers. The soldiers obeyed various commands to charge the enemy forces that were constantly seizing their guns.

The were assaulted severally by the respective shots of shells but the still went ahead courageously to their own deaths, into the mouth of hell.
