First, you have to circle 5. You have to decide whether of not to shade it in. On this one, you wouldn't and leave the circle empty because its a less than sign. You would only shade it in if it had an equal to underneath it. Now, you have to decide which way to shade. In my opinion, this is the hardest part. On this equation, you shade left since x has to be less than 5. If the symbol was greater than, you would shade right. I hope this helped!!!
