Line 9 says, "Like me you’ll long for home, where birds’ glad song..." This illustrates an image into the readers mind on how the author must've felt when the weather constantly was changing, especially when it became winter.  Line 10 states, "And tender thoughts and feelings fine and strong..." This explains how the author was feeling when it became winter and that it was cold, making him feel tender.
