What is similarities of opinion and common assertion

A common assertion is a statement that many (or even most) people believe to be true, even though they cannot prove that it is a fact. An opinion is a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. The similarities of this are that they both have grasped an idea of something and believe is is valid.
