Parasite

Tori and Millie are walking home from a secret meeting. The meeting was about saving the city and getting a cure for the zombies and making sure people don’t get outside their houses to catch the parasite. After they get out of the meeting, Tori is just playing and jumping around the ruins of stores and houses, and she stumbles on this medal thing in the ground.
Millie laughs and says “are you ok?”
Tori replies “yes I fell on something hard”
They spend about an hour digging it up
“It's a time capsule” says Millie, it says on the outside of the capsule “he will prevail”
“I wonder what this means” said Tori
“I do to let's get home quick help me pick this up” says Millie.
“Ok!” Says Millie.
“The keys are in the tank!” Says Tori “looks like ill get my driver's license early.”
“Ok lets drive remember we have to make noise, so they can hear us, so we can shoot” says Millie
A couple of minutes goes by, and they are in town.
“I think we have a speakerphone in here?” Says Tori.
“Yeah I found it let me poke out and turn it up to high volume so everybody can hear me get ready to shoot” says Millie
Tori says “YES MA'AM!”
“Ready”
“Set
Shoot” says Millie
“Get back in the tank” says tori.
“Reload quickly” says Tori.
Millie reloads the tank while tori is trying to find more bombs to make.
“Shoot” says Millie.
Tori says excitedly they are all gone, but we might want to go around town just to make sure.”
They find a Couple more but not too many Millie and Tori go to the place where they can turn the power back on for the whole city.

After Millie and Tori get the power turned back on they go to the telephone pole and call the Police which the police calls the news so Millie and Tori were famous because they saved the world from a zombie apocalypse. The lesson learned from this story is that think before you do something so you know your consequences before you try.

Read the excerpts from “take the tortillas out of your poetry” and “speaking arabic.” my friend had concluded that if he took his language and culture out of his poetry, he stood a better chance of receiving a fellowship. he took out his native language, the poetic patois of our reality, the rich mixture of spanish, english, pachuco and street talk which we know so well. in other words, he took the tortillas out of his poetry, which is to say he took the soul out of his poetry. at a neighborhood fair in texas, somewhere between the german oom-pah sausage stand and the mexican gorditas booth, i overheard a young man say to his friend, “i wish i had a heritage. sometimes i feel—so lonely for one.” and the tall american trees were dangling their thick branches right down over his head. which best states how the structures of both excerpts support ideas about cultural diversity? each incorporates non-english words. each incorporates academic words. each incorporates offensive words. each incorporates nonsense words.
