Write a one page description of a place
using sensory details to describe it.
This place may be real or fictional. This may
be a place within a story, if you choose to take
that approach; or a place that you have
visited; it may also be a place you imagine
from your future, such as your future home or
office; this may be a place that is entirely
unreal, such as a utopian world, a dystopian world or
a futuristic world.
Be creative. Have some fun with this
assignment. The idea is to be so descriptive
that your reader can vividly picture each scene
clearly. Try to use sensory details to represent
all five senses--I will expect to see
at least four of the five senses represented.
*Using similes, metaphors and imagery is also helpful,
although not required.
