Your challenge today is to build upon a character sketch you have created. Incorporate the character sketch into a scene from an epic poem of your own inspired by Homer's The liad.
1. Build upon your created character to create a situation.
2. Outline the action of your story. Use Freytag's Pyramid to assist you.
3. Select a meter.
4. Draft the narrative of your scene. Use the same techniques for building character to build the story.
5. Revise to fit the meter (it may be simpler to select lambic with Pope's translation as an Inspiration).
6. Bonus challenge: Can you rhyme each set of two lines as well?
