You are to interview three people, finding out their opinion as to why academic stress may be the #1 cause of stress among adolescents and their suggestions as to how adolescents can reduce academic stress. Using the information you received from the interviews, write a report on what you discovered. Before conducting any interviews, review the Interview Guidelines for this course. Counseling and Mental Health Services Course Interview Guidelines Interviewees: Identify who you will interview (interviewees): Be sure it is someone you trust and believe will provide you with honest and helpful responses. Your safety is very important, so make sure that someone accompanies you to the interview. If no one is available, be sure to inform a trusted person of the name and location of the person you will be interviewing. Gain the approval of significant people in your life, such as parents or guardians, before conducting an interview. First contact with interviewee: You will be contacting the interviewee more than once. For the first contact, explain to the person who you are (if they do not know you) and why you are interviewing him or her. Provide the interviewee with a general idea of what information you are hoping to get from the interview.
