My grandparents have a very old house in Newfoundland. It is a five It's a special house because it has resplendent stone walls and is surrounded by maple trees. During winter, we'd mine the trees of sap from which we'd make homemade maple syrup.

Whenever I visit, I love to play hide and seek with my grandparents. My favorite hiding spot in the attic. There is also a chimney at the rear end of the building where the kitchen is located.

The house is warm during winter and is cool during summer because the walls are made of mud bricks.

Whenever we arrive, my grandmother after supper would tell us stories about legends. Things that were difficult to imagine in these times.

She would tell us stories about how giant squids used to affect the fishermen and the boat riders

My grandparents have a collection of interesting pictures which include interesting moments of their children and grandchildren. Last year, they made copies of these pictures, put them in frames, and created a family storyboard in their sitting room.

i decided to stay late in the laboratory to continue my experiment with the lightbulb. at midnight, thomas edison opened the door and walked in with his head held high.

1. he leaned on the wall and observed me carefully.

2. his harsh scrutiny made me self-conscious of my skills in the lab.

3. perhaps it was just me, but the air in the laboratory began to thicken as i found myself having difficulty to breathe.

4. i turned to look at him fully as i mentally prepared myself for what my very first words would be to thomas edison.

5. the next couple of seconds shocked me. it wasn't me who spoke, but rather him and with diction i could never think of using in a simple sentence.
