What does Ender ask Bean to do? Why does he choose Bean for this task?

Ender asks Bean to help him think of new ideas to beat the other armies, even if they are bad ideas. He assigns Bean a toon and lets him train his toon separately from the rest of the army. Ender chooses Bean for this task because Bean is the brightest and smartest soldier Ender has. He can think faster and better than any other soldier in Dragon Army.

edwards uses the phrase "o who can express what the state of a soul in such circumstances is! " in order to illustrate that this type of suffering is unimaginable. the word "express" denoted that the state of a suffering soul is required to be described by any person, but it would not happen because no one can imagine how this suffering is felt.
