Introduction
Nutrition plays an important role in the overall health and wellness of an individual. You have
learned about nutrients, MyPlate, and dietary guidelines. Unfortunately, many American
children do not receive the proper nutrients needed to be healthy. You hope to help correct
this situation by writing articles for a newsletter for the Nutrition for Children Association
Directions and Analysis
Task: Writing a Newsletter
You will write
two articles for a newsletter that is geared toward educating parents and
children on health and wellness. The articles should cover food groups, dietary guidelines for
different age groups, healthy choices, suggestions to make children more interested in
healthy food and to make meal times more interesting, and fun activities. The newsletter
should be at least two pages long. It should contain colorful pictures/graphics, and should
