I NEED HELP!! For this assignment, you will look at Flood narratives from Ancient Greece (Plato's Laws and Timaeus), Classical Rome (Ovid's Metamorphoses), The Hebrew scriptures or Old Testament (the Genesis account of the Flood), and ancient Mesopotamia (the Epic of Gilgamesh).

After you have read through them, you will compare Ovid's flood to any one other flood narrative. You will then post your response to the discussion board.

Your response must be in complete sentences-- NOT BULLET POINTS-- and MUST address the following things:

1. What are two similarities in the narratives OTHER THAN THE FLOOD?

2. What are two differences in the narratives?

3. Why do you think the stories might be similar?

Then, find ONE OTHER EXAMPLE of a flood narrative from any culture or time period (there are MANY options, so don't use any of the Flood narratives we've looked at so far). Give a brief (3-5 sentence) overview of the story that includes information on what culture or society produced the narrative. This will require you to do some basic research. (The online Encyclopedia Britannica, Encyclopedia. com, or even *shudders* Wikipedia will be sufficient for this assignment.)
