North of the rail line was littered with old, run down houses. The windows were cracked, and in some nonexistent. You could tell there was remanence of human civilization there by the few furniture pieces here and there, most of them broken and worn down. The smell of rotten wood and mold, along with dust and other substances that kicked up with every step was antagonizing as it clogged up your nose and burned your eyes. The houses were cramped together, narrow roads and small alleyways served as paths of navigation to wind your way through.
