Dear sir or madam,

I am writing this letter since I consider that the newspaper should release an article informing their readers about drug abuse and its effects.

There are several types of drugs, each of them with their effects and consequences. Some of them, such as cocaine, marihuana, or heroin, are more popular than others. It is common knowledge that drug consumption can bring several problems, some of which can be permanent.

The abuse of drugs can make people addicted to them. As a consequence, the person starts having problems in all aspects of his or her life. Their relationships with others deteriorate, their performance at work is not efficient, and the mental and physical health also deteriorates. It is hard for an addict to leave drugs behind, and sometimes they can overdose, which can result in death if the person is not assisted on time. Also, the person deteriorates his or her body with every consumption and more when it is in excess. This regular use of drugs leads to the malfunctions of different parts of the body, which results in permanent damage or death.

Due to the facts explained above, I hope that the newspaper publishes an article informing and raising awareness in their readers to take care of them and contribute to a healthy society.
