He also said in John 8:24, "if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins", which means that if you do not believe that Jesus is God in the flesh, then you will be cast into Hell. The only steps in the process of becoming a Christian is to believe in Christ, and to confess your life and sins to Him, and to believe the word of Jesus.
