I'm an officer.

Here to protect and serve

And yet I get things I don't deserve

I try so hard

To keep people safe

And yet they try to teach my my place

I understand why they hate me

And honestly, why they berate me

The stigma makes sense

People get hurt.

The cops get away

We never learn.

That's what they think

We're all on the brink

We're all gonna sink

That's what they think.

But I'm an officer.

To protect and to serve.

I just wish that my voice was heard

I'm an officer.
