High School Chapter 1

(Roxy’s pov)

I woke up to my annoying alarm for school. I got ready for school and went downstairs. I grabbed my keys and walked out of the door trying not to wake my mom and step-dad. I got in my car and headed to school.

(at school)

I went to go get my history textbook out of my locker. Out of the corner of my eye I could see Spike (the bad boy) staring at me. I closed my locker and said “stop staring, it’s not a good color on you” and I walked away to history.

(Spikes pov)

I was minding my own business until Roxy walked to her locker and I was kinda staring at her. When she said “stop staring, it’s not a good color on you” I stopped staring and laughed a little then she walked away. I headed to my car to stay there until my chemistry class because roxy’s in that class with me. The only reason I want to go and see roxy is because something is up with her because she always has her head down and she doesn’t talk or anything and I know something is up but I get so mad when she doesn’t talk.

(Chemistry class)

(roxy’s pov)

I walked into chemistry class. I saw Spike sitting in the far back corner and I went in the other back corner and put my hood up and put my airpods in.

(skip to 5 minutes before class ends)

Chapter 2

Before class ended I took out my airpods to hear what our homework was. “Ok class your assignment is to pear up with someone and do a project for the science fair.” Before I knew it everyone had a partner. Then the teacher said “Roxy you can work with Spike.”

Spike had a smirk on his face and I just nodded. I walked out of school and was heading home even though I didn't want to go home because my mom and step-dad abu. sed me.

(At home)

I got home and walked in, I saw my mom and Jackson (step-dad) standing there waiting for me. Jackson came up to me and slapped my face, Hard. He said “ go to your room and don’t come out unless we say.” I nodded and went upstairs and started to cry. I stopped when I heard the doorbell.

(Spike’s pov)

I saw Roxy leave the class and I decided to follow her because we need to work on the project so I followed her to her house. After about 5 minutes I decided to go ring the doorbell. I slowly stepped out of my dark blue pick-up truck and went up to the front door, I rang the doorbell and waited for someone to come and answer. Some lady answered and said….

???: Can I help you?
Spike: I’m here for Roxy
???: Why?
Spike: We have a project to do for chemistry.
???: ROXY! COME HERE NOW!

(Roxy’s pov)

I heard my mom scream for me so I went downstairs and I saw Spike standing in the doorway.

???: Who is this boy!?
Roxy: Mom this is Spike. I have a project to do with him.
Roxy’s Mom: Were going to talk about this later!. But for now go do your project.

I grabbed Spikes wrist and took him up in my room and slammed the door.

Roxy: What the fu. ck are you doing here!? And how did you find where I live!?
Spike: Number 1. We have a project to do! Number 2. I followed you.

(Spike’s pov)

When i noticed that i yelled i felt bad and roxy had fear in her eyes. I said “I'm sorry I yelled” she said “It’s ok.” I heard yelling coming from downstairs and I looked at Roxy and she had more fear in her eyes than before when I yelled. Then she cut me out of my thoughts by saying “I'll be right back just stay here” I nodded and she slammed the door.

Iwill only mark brainliest if you get it correct. read the following prompt and type your response in the space provided. examine the diagram and text: you see water all around you every day as lakes, rivers, ice, rain and snow. there are also vast amounts of water that are unseen—water existing in the ground. and even though groundwater is unseen, it is moving below your feet right now. as part of the water cycle, groundwater is a major contributor to flow in many streams and rivers and has a strong influence on river and wetland habitats for plants and animals. people have been using groundwater for thousands of years and continue to use it today, largely for drinking water and irrigation. life on earth depends on groundwater just as it does on surface water. there are rivers flowing below our feet … a myth? have you ever heard that there are rivers of water flowing underground? do you think it’s true? actually, it is pretty much a myth. even though there are some caverns, lava, and ice tubes, and horizontal springs that can carry water, the vast majority of underground water occupies the space between rocks and subsurface material. some rivers, such as the alpha river in northern florida, usa, can disappear underground during low flow periods. generally, water underground is more like water in a sponge. it occupies the space is between soil and rock particles. at a certain depth below the land surface, the spaces between the soil and rock particles can be totally filled with water, resulting in an aquifer from which groundwater can be pumped into used by people. courtesy of the u. s. geological survey is there missing or extraneous information in this diagram? are all of the details in the text relevant and accurate? explain using details from the text.
