Your teacher is asking you to choose a topic of interest and write a short report of 900 words which depending on your spacing is only 1-3 pages.

Choosing a topic;

What topic interests you?

Racism in the 21st century? Gay rights? How online learning has been linked to depression? Technology as the new wave in the world? Homework should be abolished?

there are a lot of research topics and you could choose one

Referencing style

I can see that your teacher emphasizes on the MLA format... use it

Don't use APA, or Harvard or Chicago styleMLA only!! it will cost you marks

You could look for guidelines on how to use this style on many sources( cant state due to honor code)

You could also search for a MLA style generator.

The references in your paper should be in a different page or fresh and separate page from the assignment content.

Other instructions

a) Use direct quotations if you quote something a writer or scholar stated eg;  if you choose the topic on gay rights and you read a journal article about it quote any statements mentioned ie; "i believe gay rights should be an open topic in Africa where Homosexuality is prohibited by law" (then put this source in your reference list)

b) use many different sources and not less than 2 use mostly academic sources... Journal articles, books, conference papers, lecture notes and slides, speeches

c) Don't copy paste and success in your assignment :)
