I NEED HELP MAKING THIS ESSAY LONGER THANKS When I turn eighteen, I will most likely be attending college, getting a job, and living independently. I want to get an associate's degree mostly or higher in psychology from UC Berkeley. I will work as a 911 operator for two or three years while I am primarily in school. Then, seek a higher-paying position. I want to live by the water and own my own home after college. I want to live a life where I do not have to worry about my money too much.
The university, UCB, requires a grade point average of 3.0 or generally higher in California and completing the required A-G courses. Also, the acceptance rate at UCB is 16.3%, so if I mostly meet all of the requirements, I should be able to get in.
I researched UCB, and it looked like an excellent school. C*VID will most likely be over by 2024, so I will probably get a dorm at Berkeley. I want to have a quad dorm because I watched a dorm room tour; the girl showing us specifically said that having a quad dorm mainly means that your room is larger, and you and your roommates have your separate bathroom. Which does not matter too much, but I would prefer that. Also, being a 911 Operator mostly means I will have to learn to be less sensitive. For the most part, I will have to stay calm and not get too attached during 911 calls. I watched a video of a former 911 dispatcher saying that you have to disconnect yourself from your calls emotionally for the most part. Some calls will end badly, and it could essentially put you in a dark place. When or if I do start a job as a dispatch, I will have to do 18 months of training by learning how to respond quickly and effectively to the agency's emergency communication systems.
Dispatchers usually work in shifts between eight and 12 hours, although some have shifted generally long as 24 hours. They are required to work on weekends and holidays. Operators generally pretty extraordinarily deal with stressful risky situations that need quick and precise decision-making, which is essentially significant in a subtle way, which is relatively significant. Sometimes I will need to work on holidays, and I will need to work during natural disasters, but that will be part of the job.
When I graduate from UCB, I will have enough money from my job to buy or rent a new house, I want to live near the water generally, so I will probably move somewhere in Berkley. I want to have my own home with a dog and a cat and maybe even kids in the future. I want to walk to a beach or pool on my days off work and swim. I want to have a Burmese Mountain dog, which I will generally take everywhere, and an outdoor Bombay cat. If I have kids, I will most really spend time with my pets. After work, I want to take my dog to the beach or into the city and walk with it. I mostly do not want a huge house. I specifically want a small two-bedroom house next to the beach. I want to be close to work genuinely, but I would mostly not mind driving 30 minutes to work in a significant way subtly.
