What is a likely reason for the advice in the following scenario? Shane does well in his classes but has never visited his professors or teaching assistants during office hours. He participates in discussions when it’s expected but is one of the less talkative people in class. Shane’s uncle, who is a professor, suggests that Shane occasionally drop in on a favorite teacher during office hours or hang around after class. Shane can earn extra credit by going in to see professors during offices hours.
Shane may eventually need letters of recommendation from professors.
Shane needs to overcome his shyness before he enters the work world.
