King's "Birmingham Chain Letter" is powerful and effective because in the midst of the violence suffered by blacks and the violence that King himself suffered, he wrote the letter defending a non-violent attitude of blacks towards racism, stating that they should act with calm, patience and peace. This left King with the image of a strong and supreme leader, giving more strength to the cause he defended.

This letter was written while King was being held in Birmingham. King was arrested only for protesting about the precarious situation that blacks lived in the country, but he did not commit any violent act or that would damage anything or anyone, for that reason, his arrest was considered unjust, violent and racist.

Even in the face of this injustice, King called for the protests to continue, but in a peaceful manner, as only peace is capable of bringing improvements. In addition, he directly questioned the clerics who called themselves carriers of the word of God, but lived the back of the injustices committed against blacks, acting recklessly.

In this way King made his letter a powerful weapon, staying true to his cause and making it even stronger and more imposing. Furthermore, about his arrest, King did not lament or complain, but he took the opportunity to defend his cause with the phrase "Basically, I am in Birmingham because injustice is here ... Like Paul, I must constantly answer the Macedonian for help ".
