Knowing a second language will help you succeed in your career. You can, for example, communicate with international clients or relatives. Knowing another language and getting it on your school records is also helpful if you choose to work abroad, as employers outside the country can require applicants to know and/or study that country's language for faster and more effective communication.

2. They would not have to spend a lot of money in order to learn a foreign language.

There is no need to enrol in costly language courses if a foreign language subject is included in the curriculum. It's already included in your tuition; all you have to do now is turn up for class.
