Guinea pigs make a great at home emotional support animals due to their size , ease of care , and cuddle factor ! Guinea pigs make good emotional support animals for a number of reason: they are generally healthy and live 5-7 years on average . Guinea pigs are easy to house and care for . A guinea pig does it’s part for science and human relations by sitting on the lap of an autistic child ... The researches found that autistic children were significantly more talkative and cheerful in the presence of guinea pigs than in the presence of toys. Guinea pigs are unique. Many people don’t realize this but guinea pigs have a lot of personality . Some guinea pigs are shy; others are bold and dominant. Just because two guinea pigs look the same doesn’t mean they’ll act the same. Before selecting a guinea pig, be sure to interact with her to ensure that her personality meets your expectations.
