In today's world, having your phone with you at school is one way for teens to feel safer while at school. If a student is found using their phone without permission during the school day, they can receive an in-school suspension, according to the school handbook.

Students are told to wait in the office to make a call in an emergency, but in the event of a school shooting, they may not have access to their phones to call for help or even to contact their parents. Since several websites are blocked on our devices, allowing phones in school would provide students with another study tool.
