Honest opinion on my essay that I have written. Here it is: My favorite story that I would choose to tell to younger children would be a story about perseverance. The book is called ¨The Darkest Minds¨ and it is all about how children fight through their lives due to a special power they have recieved from a chemical that was put into their brains before birth. The government locks the children in vile camps and segregates them by color. Many children escape and are forced to live a secluded life, away from society.

No matter what obstacles they face and no matter how many friends and family they lose, they keep fighting for what is right. Some children join together and form groups to stay safe. Some stay on their own. Some have to go through so much to keep the ones they love safe and some think about themselves before anyone else. For some children, it does not matter if the government, controlled every movement they made and lied to the world, they can understand that what the government is really like. There scared.

The reason why I would choose ¨The Darkest Minds¨ to tell to younger children is that first, I think the story is phenomenal. The story shows love, bravery, perseverance, selflessness, and the will to stick together through light and dark. The story shows that we humans have to stick together to be able to get through obstacles together. The more we split apart, segregate and judge each other, the more this world becomes split.
